Fern M. Hernberg is a human resources executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years’ experience in the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She is also the heart of Eagle HR, which she founded in Vienna, VA in 2010.
Fern’s experience includes senior-level positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Deloitte Services LP, and the USO. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Communication from the University of Delaware, a Master’s of Science in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago, and is a graduate of the NOVA/Dulles Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Peer Mentoring Program. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and a certified facilitator in a variety of industry-leading assessments and training programs, including:

Fern is a proud member of the Vienna Business Association and Tysons Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Main Street Child Development Center (Fairfax, Va.), an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of limited-income working families in Northern Virginia. She also performs pro bono work for the Community Business Partnership (Springfield, Va.), providing HR counseling sessions for business owners and executives and leading their class on HR essentials.

Michele Moore resides near Albuquerque, NM and has been with Eagle HR since June 2013. She holds the designations of Senior Professional in Human Resources (HRCI), Master Human Capital Strategist (HCI), and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM).
Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Psychology and Counseling respectively and she completed years of intensive training and supervision to become a Licensed Professional Counselor in 1998 and Certified Coach in 2002. She has also served as an adjunct instructor at numerous organizations, including Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and is currently on the virtual faculty team of Cornell University (eCornell).
Michele is most proud of the partnerships she builds with her clients as an adviser, coach, and facilitator. Her 20+ years of experience and rapid advancement in both the public and private sectors has included work with Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, the FBI, and the CIA.
Dawna Mussad is a strategic and versatile HR professional who has enjoyed a long and successful career in HR. Prior to coming to Eagle HR, she was the Senior Vice President of HR for L-3 National Security Solutions, where she led and implemented HR strategy and oversaw programs in succession planning, leadership development, workforce analytics, and employee engagement. She was also highly involved in the transition of the company after it was acquired by CACI International.
Before that, Dawna held a number of leadership roles at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), where she executed an organizational restructuring plan to split the $11 billion company into two separate entities, spearheaded a redesign of the HR organization to support the new entity, established a Shared Services Center, and designed a comprehensive compensation strategy, among many other accomplishments.
In addition to being recognized as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Dawna’s credentials include a Master’s degree in Personnel and Human Resources Management from the American University
Cheryl Vierregger has over 20 years of progressive experience as a senior human resources professional. She is a proven leader with a strong track record that spans employee relations, total rewards, performance management, and talent acquisition. She has also built a unique expertise in HR compliance (e.g., EEO, FMLA, ADA, affirmative action) and uses these initiatives to reinforce corporate values and employee engagement. A committed and high-energy leader, she has a passion for HR and delivering excellence on each and every client engagement.
Celia has over 18 years of HR generalist and consulting experience which includes HR administration, recruiting, training, strategy formulation, and business planning. Prior to coming to Eagle HR, she worked for two law firms and established an HR company called Biztant LLC. She has also worked for several government agencies, including NIH, Treasury, the Air National Guard, and the FAA. Celia is certified as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) and brings a tremendous breadth of experience to both our team and our clients. She earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management (with a certificate in Organizational Development) from Marymount University.
Kim has a versatile background which spans 15 years of experience with project, process, and people management and writing, editing, photography, and design. Her background includes starting and operating small businesses and leading cross-functional teams to award-winning success. She excels in developing and enhancing customized processes through intuitive, strength-based leadership, strategic data analysis, investigative problem-solving, and creative communication. Her pursuit of efficiency and continuous improvement drives her to excel in both technical and creative arenas and master new tools and systems that Eagle then shares with its clients. Receiving multiple award for her outstanding leadership, innovation, and high standards, Kim held management positions at APL, Ltd. before launching her own creative services business and partnering with Eagle HR.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Sophie has over 20 years of experience as a human services professional, providing social services administration, assessment, case management, counseling, policy research, training, staff development, and program implementation. She worked in the field of foster care and adoption for many years before transitioning to human resources. Sophie works alongside our consultants to deliver HR administrative support, compliance audits, quality assurance, and policy research for clients.

Jacqueline (“Jackie”) has worked for over 15 years with businesses large and small, public and private, to help them generate revenue and control costs. Her versatility and commitment to research, data analysis and reporting, detail-orientation, and customized, high-quality solutions set her apart and make her an indispensable part of our team.
In addition to her strong business acumen, Jackie has mastered a great variety of IT tools, including various ERP systems, accounting software packages, and cloud-based applications. She specializes in include converting raw data to charts and presentations, analyzing and reporting large data sets, creating automated calculation tools, and linking data and documents.
Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree and Certificate in Applied Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is an active learner. She keeps her skills fresh by regularly attending classes, training, and seminars—with over 25 courses completed in the last year alone. She has held previous positions with Rio Tinto (Account Manager, Ocean Operations and Procurement) and Seaforward Logistics (President).
